Digitize VHS-C into Video That You Can Watch Today

Compact VHS to Digital service (AKA: digitize VHS-C) converts 2nd generation VHS to the digital format of your choice so that you can watch it again before conversion is no longer possible. It is more urgent now than ever, not only because the tapes age more every day, but also because the number of VHS players dwindles every day. On top of normal aging problems, VHS-C is the most persnickety of all video tapes to convert.

If you have VHS-C tapes, then you know that they require adapters. Insert VHS-C tapes into the adapter, expand the tape to the length of a normal VHS tape, then play them in a standard VHS player. For some unknown reason, the combination of a smaller format and its adapter causes VHS-C tapes to have more issues playing good-quality video than any other consumer-level tape.

VHS-C History

VHS-C tape follows VHS tape in videotape history, directly competing against the Video8 format. Problems with slack in the tape due to a design flaw are the cause to the end of a relatively short life for the format.
