Wouldn’t it be nice to convert a record to digital and send a copy of your grandfather’s voice to your cousin in another country? It is doable! Reborn Audio Video transfers records to mp3 and other digital formats so that you can take advantage of all of the benefits of digital files.

Share digital files through the internet, back them up to the cloud, and edit them for custom clips. You can even create CDs from digital files for family and friends who require them. Perhaps the most powerful benefit of digitized records is that they will play on smartphones, smart TVs, computers, laptops, tablets, and mp3 players.

How Does it Work?

In order to convert a record into an mp3, I follow these steps:

  1. Connect the turntable output to a computer that contains software to capture audio. The turntable does not have to be expensive to achieve great sound because a good needle is the most important part.
  2. Clean the transferring record in order to prevent unnecessary ‘clicks and pops’.
  3. Play the transferring record on a turntable before saving the captured audio file.
  4. Edit the software for dust, scratches, other noise, and volume adjustment. Create individual digital files for each song if desired.
  5. Save the edited audio to mp3, wav, or other desired format.
  6. Copy file to USB, external hard drive, or the cloud.

Reborn Audio/Video captures 33 1/3 rpm, 45 rpm, and 78 rpm records for transfer to CD, wav, and/or mp3 formats. Sometimes, I use favorite old records for the music of custom slide shows that I create from favorite old photos, a double treat.
