We hardly think – OK, we never think – about the different formats that VHS tapes could have around the world. Yet, there are many different types – and they won’t play on different formats’ players. 

The most common that we see at Reborn Audio Video is PAL – most commonly used in Western Europe and what used to be European Colonies. 

Today, we convert PAL VHS to DVD – collection of tapes from New Zealand that need to be converted into DVD to play in the US. Special equipment is needed for this operation so that the PAL format can be read and NTSC (US format) can be created. PAL to DVD is one of the niche markets that we serve.
