We are often asked, which is better when doing a transfer, Scan Photos or Scan Negatives? Assuming they are in equal condition (photos rarely are), then always choose the negatives. Photos are printed from negatives, so negatives are one generation closer to the original than the same photograph.

Also, photos are typically printed at a fairly low resolution. With Negatives to DVD projects, you can select your choice of resolution that is higher than an average photo will support. 

So, if you have the choice – negatives to dvd every time!
